Introduction

Boradors are a pedigree breed - a cross between purebred Border Collies and Labradors, and never fail to bring a smile to their family’s face. Considered the happiest of many dog breeds by owners worldwide, Boradors seem to be the perfect mix between playfulness and active puppy-like behaviour and smart thinking.

Some experts even claim these are the most intelligent breeds of dog there is!

Boradors make ideal family pets due to their fun and gentle nature, known to get along well with children, strangers, and other dogs. Boradors are highly regarded as competent gun dogs, making them very easy to train. However, you may see a few cheeky habits slip through the cracks, especially when it comes to chewing!

History

There’s relatively little known about the origins of Boradors, especially since it’s a pedigree breed, and such designer dogs have only been around the last two or three decades. Most likely, these dogs were bred somewhere in the United States, but since they’re still around today, it’s safe to say they were a hit then, just as much as they’re a hit now.

Personality

Boradors are one of the most personable breeds of dogs out there. Both parent dogs, Border Collies and Labradors, are known for being wonderful, and this ever-pleasing, always loyal attitude indeed runs in the family. Due to their working dog genes, boradors are playful and curious and absolutely love being around people.

Easy to train, loving, sweet, and a lover of activities, there’s no denying that this breed is one of the best pets a family could own. The only concern is that Boradors love nothing more than running around and being free, meaning that they love open spaces to explore and play in.

If you engage in regular exercise yourself, such as running, jogging, or hiking, a Borador makes for the perfect companion.
